Recovery like a Pro!

Combining manual therapy with various therapeutic instruments, such as scrapers and myofascial hooks, dry puncture, vacuum therapy or kinesiotape, we create a protocol tailored to each case. This treatment improves muscle function, as well as the quality and range of motion and also relieves pain through neuro-muscular facilitation.

Its purpose is to maximize the sports performance of the high-intensity athlete, as well as to promote an increase in the daily quality of those who suffer from problems, such as neuromuscular tension, postural changes and body movement deficit.

Manual therapy

Various assessment and treatment techniques are used, such as massage, manipulation, mobilization and stretching, which will positively influence musculoskeletal recovery.

Myofascial release

In this technique, the therapist uses stainless steel hooks or scrapers that have anatomical curvatures to facilitate access to trigger points (a set of muscle fibers that are hyper irritable, causing discomfort and pain). It is a technique that helps the therapist to release adhesions present between muscle and fascia, promoting pain relief and general well-being.

Vacuum therapy

It is a therapeutic method of ancient origin. Here, negative pressure (vacuum) is used on the skin, which causes more space between the soft tissues, thus promoting an increase in micro-circulation between the muscle fibers, stimulating the process of regeneration and self-healing.

Dry Puncture

It is an invasive (painless) procedure, in which acupuncture needles are applied through the skin to muscle fibers and connective tissue. As it is applied directly to the focus of the dysfunction, it is a very effective technique, aiming to promote relaxation and pain control.

Kinesio tape*

The therapist uses water-resistant elastic bands to provide sensory, mechanical and proprioceptive input to the skin cells, in order to inhibit or promote muscle contraction.  These bands provide support and stability to muscles and joints. Kinesio tape is also very effective in stimulating the lymphatic system, reducing the edema created by various injuries and pathologies.

This method contributes to extend the effect of the treatment performed in the cabin, allowing the therapeutic benefits to be maintained throughout the day.
