Luís Filipe Soares Borlido, from Viana do Castelo and a proud dad.
Fell in love with cooking at an early age, 16. His love for the hustle and bustle of the “culinary world” led him to pursue training in this area, in the beginning, against his family’s will. The start of his career, with internships in reference kitchens in England and Portugal, would foreshadow a brilliant career. When his internship finished, renowned Portuguese chef Hélio Loureiro hired him to belong to the team and a string of famous kitchens followed this start, like the Aquapura Douro Valley Hotel. In his return to the Intercontinental Porto – Palácio das Cardosas restaurant, he evolves to sus chef and is later head of the Vidago Palace Hotel kitchen, with Chef Rui Paula as a consulting chef. In 2017 he is head of Six Senses Douro Valley’s kitchen, with Chef Ljubomir Stanisic as a consulting chef, where he stayed for two years. May 2020 chef Luís launches FeelViana Hotel’s DOVENTO restaurant, where he is committed to his passion.
